Talent First

Talent attraction model of North Savo – impact through collaboration

When the goal is to raise awareness of North Savo among job seekers in a way that positions the region as an attractive place for work, study, and living, close regional collaboration and effective actions are required. The region’s appeal and retention power directly impact the availability of skilled labor, which in turn ensures the conditions for business growth.

The primary objective of the Talent First project (Talent attraction model of North Savo) is to attract new talent and workforce to the region, enhance the region’s appeal and retention power, and build collaborative networks.

“The core of the operation is in collaboration.”

Concrete actions within the project include regional network-based cooperation, developing a joint operational model, creating pathways to facilitate the attraction of talent, and a variety of marketing and communication activities, such as the website, talent stories, campaigns, and events.

Websites in Finnish and English

Talent First developed a website that regularly publishes content from the perspectives of talent and expertise. The site promotes national and international visibility, shares regional stories, articles, and general information with talent, and also supports recruitment efforts for local businesses.

The website highlights the positive buzz that elevates the region’s overall attractiveness. It covers topics such as regional phenomena, expertise, housing, culture, and quality of life, and features talent experiences through various stories. Additionally, the site showcases the region’s top expertise and the opportunities offered by networks.
