Healthy Municipality network
The Healthy Municipality network is a national network established in 1996 and coordinated by the National Institute for Health and Welfare. It brings together municipalities whose key guiding principles include the promotion of wellbeing and health.
The aim of the network is to support municipalities in the promotion of wellbeing and health. The Healthy Municipality network develops and evaluates strategies and produces information on the opportunities and operating models for the promotion of wellbeing and health.
The City of Kuopio has been involved in the Healthy Municipality network since 2000.
