National AILI network for cultural senior work

The City of Kuopio is one of the municipalities forming a national network for cultural senior work. The network aims to develop senior services and to promote the well-being and ability to function of senior citizens through art and cultural activities.
The municipalities currently involved in the network are Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Pukkila, Turku, Tampere, Kouvola, Seinäjoki, Jyväskylä, Vaasa, Kuopio, Oulu, and Rovaniemi. A representative from each municipality’s social welfare, health care and cultural services is appointed for the network. In 2023, the City of Kuopio will carry out two other projects as joint projects with the AILI-network: the cultural senior outreach follow-up project (IKO2) and the AURA project, which promotes the cultural well-being of senior citizens in municipalities and the wellbeing services counties.
