Culture Path
The Culture Path is the City of Kuopio’s cultural education plan for basic and early childhood education. It is part of the City of Kuopio curriculum for basic education. The Culture Path consists of annual visits to cultural attractions and workshops organised at the school or day care. The workshops are open at the beginning of the semester.

Early childhood education and care:
Groups for children aged 4–5: Dance workshops and design and architecture education workshops
Pre-primary education: Story Path
Basic education:
1st grade: Library Path, Kuopio City Library and local libraries
2nd grade: Art Path, Kuopio Art Museum
3rd grade: Museum Path, Kuopio Museum, Old Kuopio Museum, RIISA – Museum of the Finnish Orthodox Church
4th grade: Media Path, Kino Kuvakukko and VB Photography Centre
5th grade: Environment Path, cultural and natural environment in your area and guided workshops
6th grade: Dance Path, movement game and dance workshops
7th grade: Music Path, Kuopio Symphony Orchestra concert
8th grade: Theatre Path, Kuopio City Theatre rehearsal and workshops
9th grade: K9 card, independent use of cultural services
The Culture Path does not rule out the possibility of also visiting cultural attractions outside the scope of the listed grade paths!
