Surplus land
The Heinjoki soil centre serves as the reception point for surplus land in the central urban area. The area is managed by Jätekukko Oy.

The reception of blasted stone in the Kuopio region with its delegated municipalities and the diversion of surplus land to utilisation in the delegated municipalities/rural areas is handled by Kuopio’s urban engineering development services.

The City charges a fee for the masses directed to the developer’s own utilisation site (to another plot) from land owned by the City.

- blasted and crushed stone EUR 2.5 per ton (VAT 0%)
- the utilisation of other masses is decided separately.
The following fees are levied by the City for the masses sold from the City’s blasted stone storage. Loading and transportation are handled by the buyer.

The City charges a reception fee of EUR 1 per ton (VAT 0%) for quarrying to the City’s blasted stone storage (stone size less than 600 mm).
The constructor delivers stone crushed from the materials of the city plot to a third party.

No fee is charged at the surplus land reception points in the delegated municipalities. The organisation of surplus land reception and the management of the area is the responsibility of the constructors.
In the delegated municipalities, the contractor/constructor may take surplus land for use in authorised areas.
