The environmental health care services advise and supervise operators in the beauty care sector and other skin treatment actors. For example, advice is provided in the planning phase of business premises and for developing self-monitoring.

The Environmental Health Services monitor health-related conditions at schools and day-care centres following a control plan. The supervision takes place in cooperation with facility services, the educational institution and health care professionals.

The Environmental Health Services supervise the operation of and conditions in hotels, hostels and other accommodation services.
A notification referred to in the Outdoor Recreation Act must be submitted of setting up a campsite. The purpose of the notification procedure is to ensure that the arrangements meet the health and safety requirements laid down in the Outdoor Recreation Act and similar.

The Environmental Health Services supervise health-related conditions in nursing homes/housing units providing 24-hour assistance.

The Environmental Health Services supervise public saunas, including sauna boats and saunas in bathing areas. A public sauna is one that offers free access to the public and where bathing in the sauna is the main purpose of the activities.
