Boundary demonstration and lost boundary markers

If the boundary marker indicating the boundary of the plot is not found in the terrain and there is no dispute between the neighbours, the owner of the plot can order the boundary demonstration.

If the boundary marker indicating the boundary of the plot has been lost and there is a dispute or ambiguity about the location of the boundary, the lost boundary markers can be reconstructed during a boundary demarcation (legal cadastral survey).

Boundary demonstration

In the boundary demonstration, the location of the undisputed property boundary is made visible in the terrain with a wooden post, for example. The border demonstration costs EUR 230.

Boundary demarcation

Boundary demarcation is a legal cadastral survey in which an official boundary marker can be built in the terrain to replace the lost boundary marker and the location of the boundary can be determined.

The owner of a property can apply for a demarcation survey by using the application forms below. The fee is EUR 690.
