The fee charged for the permit is determined in connection with the permit decision. The fee is determined by the type of building project and the squares to be built and is based on the building control service rate approved by the City of Kuopio Council. The fee usually includes all matters related to the permit, such as the processing of the permit decision and reviews.

Measures under a building permit may only be started after the decision has become final. You can see the period of validity of your permit as well as other conditions related to starting the permit actions in your permit decision. The decision made by the official is legally valid 14 days and the decision of the building board 30 days after the decision has been issued if the decision is not appealed.
