Edlevo App can be used by the child’s official guardians.
To log in to Edlevo App, use Suomi.fi e-Identification with your online banking IDs or mobile identification.
The mobile app will remain open for one month unless you log out.

Edlevo App FAQ

Edlevo App is a communication system used by early childhood education and care providers in the City of Kuopio. Edlevo App collates key early childhood education and care services that can be used in everyday situations related to a child’s early childhood education and care. Edlevo App is used for information purposes, as well as for reporting on children’s care times, absences and holidays.

You have two ways to use Edlevo App:
1. You can download Edlevo App from the Google play/Apple App Store on your phone or tablet. The app is free of charge.
2. You can use Edlevo App as a web application (browser version) that is device-independent. -
Only the official guardians/parents of the child can log into Edlevo App.
Edlevo App is used in early childhood education in the City of Kuopio. -
You can download Edlevo App from an application store (Google Play / Apple App Store).
For instructions on installing the application, see the links on this page.Please note: Edlevo App notifies users with alerts/alarms about various activities, so you should allow app alerts in your phone settings. This way you can get reports on new notifications.

You log into Edlevo App using your Suomi.fi ID with your bank ID or mobile ID.
The Edlevo mobile app will remain open for one month unless you log off in the meantime. -

Please note: If you are using the Edlevo App browser version, you will not be prompted by new notifications, so remember to monitor the notifications sent from Early Childhood Education regularly.
Please be careful if you are using Edlevo App browser on public PCs: in this case, it is particularly important for data security to remember to log off Edlevo App and clear the computer’s cache at the end.

The official guardians/parents of the child can log into Edlevo App once the child’s early childhood education and care relationship has started.
If there is a problem with registration, please contact your child’s early childhood education and care unit. -
- Notifications: Early Childhood Education notifications are displayed in Edlevo App two months before the beginning of the child’s early childhood education.
- Permit survey: In Edlevo App, you can respond to an Early Childhood Education permit survey the following day after you have learned about your child’s placement.
- Service decision: This is displayed in Edlevo App as soon as the service decision is published.
- Payment decision: This is displayed in Edlevo App as soon as the payment decision is published.

As a new Early Childhood Education client, the care time function will be visible to you the next day after the placement is has been completed. You can register care periods for your child from the first day of placement onwards.
Please note, however, that appointments cannot be made for the current week nor the following week. The system closes on Sunday at 11:59 pm, after which the next 14 days will be locked. If the care appointment notice has already started to lock down, the child’s care times must be reported separately to the early childhood education and care unit

Guardians/parents must make a care appointment for all their children in early childhood education in Kuopio. This also applies to children who are only in pre-primary education.

The child’s care times must be reported at least one week before the need for care. Reservations for care periods can no longer be made for the current or following week. The system closes on Sunday at 11:59 pm, after which the next 14 days will be locked.
If the child also needs evening/shift care: the care periods should be reported to the group where the child needs care AND the absences are reported to the group where the child is absent at the same time.

You can report your child’s treatment periods six months ahead.
It is also possible to register absences you know about in advance
You will be able to modify your previous care time reservations as long as the care time notification remains open for that period.
It is possible to copy care reservations from one day and week to another and from one sibling to another. -
Edlevo App sends an alarm to remind you to report reservations if you have allowed app notifications in your phone settings. In addition, you will receive a reminder in Edlevo App regarding notification of care appointments. This message will arrive for the first time on the Saturday and for the second time on the Sunday. It is not possible to reply to reminder messages.

Contact your child’s early childhood education unit and send your child’s care times as mutually agreed.

The Early Childhood Education services of the City of Kuopio map out need for care during school holidays by sending an electronic holiday survey to their client families through Edlevo App. The parents/guardians of the children must respond to the holiday questionnaires by the deadline set for each questionnaire. Edlevo App sends reminder messages scheduled for the parents/guardians if the holiday questionnaire has not been noted.

You can change the holidays you have submitted to the holiday survey as long as the holiday survey is open.If your child is on holiday during other times: You can notify your child’s days of absence on Edlevo App through the reporting care times function. In this case, mark your child’s absence for the coming days of absence.

You should allow app notifications in your phone settings so you can get new notifications.

Private service providers have their own systems, so unfortunately you cannot use Edlevo App for this. Please turn to your child’s private early childhood education unit for more information.
