Again, plenty to do for children and young people in Kuopio during the winter holidays!

In Kuopio, the winter holiday is Super Holiday. There’s plenty to do for school children and families of all ages every day, and in between outdoor activities you can pop indoors for a variety of things to do. There are plenty of free activities on offer.

Kuntolaakso and Lippumäki swimming pools will kick off the holiday week with the Kauko swimming on Monday 3 March, when swimming is free for all customers, offered by Kuopion Energia. During the holiday week, Kuntolaakso and Lippumäki swimming pools will be free of charge for swimmers under the age of 18 from Monday to Friday 3-7 March. In Kuntolaakso, there will be jumping from the diving tower and Wibit water track in the pool for extra fun. There will also be a Wibit competition on Friday.

In Kuopio Hall, persons under 18 can exercise free of charge from Monday to Friday 3-7 March between 8am and 4pm, unless there are other reservations (the gymnastics area is subject to a fee). The Kuopio Hall gym is open to visitors aged 15 and over. In addition, the program of Super Holidays includes bowling, sports camps, winter events in Kuopio and Juankoski and various activities at Puijo.

The exhibitions at the Kuopio Museum and Kuopio Art Museum have enough to see and explore for a whole day. At the Kuopio Museum you can go to the Disco on 90-s on Saturday 8.3. The main library is celebrating Harry Potter week. Free admission to Kuopio City Museums, Orthodox Church Museum RIISA and VB Photographic Centre for under 18s.

The varied program also includes workshops, courses and day camps, including crafts, sports and cooking. Youth centres offer free activities for schoolchildren of all ages. At Pinari, there are wall climbing and painting, and at Jynäri there are sweet buns and a movie day.
