Winter fun at the Frost Festival on Sunday 26.1.

Kuopio Frost Festival will be held on Sunday 26.1.2025 at 14-17 in Brahenpuisto Park.

The programme includes MusaMaja, magician Puijon Torvi will perform close-up magic for event visitors during the event and will also perform at 15.30. Hilima Haepakka will host the event. There will also be winter activities for the whole family, including downhill sledding, skiing fun and trangia testing by the Kalla Girls. Kuopio Skating Club will perform at the Kuopionlahti rink at 14.30 and after the performance there will be skating instruction for a limited time. Visitors will also be greeted by the characters Pähkä and Kamu and Hannes Kalamainen. Seasonal light characters will visit the event at 16-17.

The Frost Festival is free of charge and open to everyone. There will be a sledding hill in the park, so bring your slides and sleds! You can also grill your own sausages and eat your own snacks. You can also buy something to eat in the area.

Visitors should note that the street will be closed from the Kuopionlahdenkatu intersection to the end of Vuorikatu Street for the duration of the event. The small parking area next to the Kuopionlahti field will also be closed to visitors during the event.
