Summer cafe in the Old Kuopio Museum

After a long brake, Old Kuopio Museum offers tasty coffee moments, as Cafe Mandariini, a permanent cafe from Kuopio Community College, came to the museum to host a pop-up summer café.
In addition to coffee, tea and cold drinks, the café offers a selection of salty and sweet snacks, including buns, pastries, cakes, breads and mini pizzas.

The café is located in the old courthouse, where you can sit down and enjoy the café’s delicacies in the cosy cabinet. In fine weather, you can also sit outside with a cup of coffee in the shade of the lilac bushes in the green courtyard. You can visit the café without a museum ticket.

Cafe Mandariini has been operating at the Kuopio Community College’s main building Puistokartano since autumn 2023. The café is run by entrepreneurs Irina Sorokina and Dimitri Sorokin.

Cafe services has long been a wish of the museum’s visitors. In a survey on the development of the museum in spring, the café was the number one wish of respondents.

The café will be open until 15 August 2024 during museum opening hours: Tue, Thu-Sun 10-17, Wed 10-19.
