Digital Art Festival Kuopio 6.-21.7.

International Urban Art Festival will be built as a digital landscape gallery, combining the magic of Lapland and animal characters with universal digital landscape sculptures. Theme of the exhibition is Lapland, represented by painter Reidar Särestöniemi, director Marja Helander, musician Anna Morottaja and Ulla Remes from Kuopio, one of the artists curated for the Reidar Särestöniemi Symposium 2011. Other contributors include Juha Suonpää, Hannes Aleksi, GMUNK, Vision Nocturne and Juha Pärnänen.

The festival will be built in Kuopio’s Parking hall under the Market Square as a pop-up exhibition space of over 1000 square metres. The festival will be held as an annual event every summer. Themes for the 2025 and 2026 summers will be German Expressionism and Finnish Golden Age art.
