“Our Kuopio” Festival attracted over 88 000 visitors in two weeks

“Our Kuopio” festival was celebrated for two weeks, from 12 to 27 August 2023, with more than 170 different events, including Satoa Food Festival, Night of Arts and 13 different neighbourhood events. In total, more than 80 different partners were involved in making the events possible. The number of visitors increased to more than 88 000 over the two weeks.

“Our Kuopio” Festival has a big effect on the attractiveness of Kuopio city centre, various districts and rural areas. We received almost 350 responses to a feedback survey for festival visitors. At least nine out of ten would attend the event again and most would recommend the festival to their friends. Thanks were given for the variety, accessibility and relaxed atmosphere of the events.

Next year the festival will take place from 10 to 25 August 2024, with the Night of the Arts on Friday 23 August 2024.
