International House Kuopio enhances the international services of City of Kuopio

City of Kuopio employment service unit starts a new guidance and counselling service that is intended especially for internationals living in or planning to move to Kuopio. The service aims to support the integration of immigrants and international newcomers in Kuopio. The International House helps the movers to find the services they need and to adapt to a new society. In addition to personal customers, International House helps employers in Kuopio region with international recruitment issues.

Employment service director Pirjo Oksanen emphasises that International House Kuopio brings a much-needed addition to public services available in Kuopio.

“In international talent attraction and retention its crucial to be able to respond to the needs of the recruiting companies as well as those of the talents. As a part of International House operations, we will also co-operate closely with local education providers to attach international students more permanently in the region.”

International House Kuopio is part of Navigaattori’s services located in Torikatu 5. The service is open from Monday to Friday 9 am to 3 pm. You can make an appointment by e-mail internationalhouse@kuopio.fi
